The professional Chauffeur in Letchworth – Hitchin – Sandy – Biggleswade
Site Updated  in  June 2010 by A W Dansey Associates

As an ambassador for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), Alec Keep took part in the February is National Heart Month, by donating all of the Gratuities received in February and 50% of takings on National Wear Red Day  for his Company ‘Aleena Chauffeur Drive’ to the BHF.

The BHF is aiming to raise £1-5 million to invest in scientists who help unravel the mysteries of heart disease; increase the number of lifesaving defibrillators in our communities; provide diagnostic equipment in hospitals and GP’s surgeries and fund BHF Heart Nurses who provide essential care, support and advice for the heart patients and their families, either in hospital, through helpline or at home.

Alec became involved with the BHF after having a heart attack on the 30th November 2006 at lunch time as he walked in through his front door. Alec had seen the poster, see below, that had only been out for a week, and phoned 999. Steve the Fast response Paramedic arrived within 5 Minutes and stabilised him until the ambulance arrived, on the way to Bedford Hospital Lola had to stop the ambulance and use the defibrillator to get the heart pumping again and the A & E struggled for nearly an hour to keep him alive. Alec had a quadruple bypass on the 28th February 2007 and was back at work as a chauffeur on June 14th. All fit and fully recovered, he even celebrated his 3rd birthday last November with a  sticky sponge cake decorated with lots of different sweets.

Alec has been a speaker for the BHF a number of time and he has been promoting the ’Doubt Kills Campaign’ at exhibitions, shows, business meetings as well as in the media. Alec is also on the Steering committee for the continuation of the ’Doubt Kills campaign’.
